This penthouse with stunning views was ready for a kitchen facelift. The once sleek and sexy red leather cabinetry had served its time. While the kitchen footprint could not be changed due to building constraints in this large apartment complex, we were able to make significant design improvements.

One of the most impactful changes was the addition of lighting. We installed three elegant island pendant lights along with much-needed pot lights, dramatically brightening the space.

In keeping with our clients’ style, we chose a sleek two-toned linen cabinet design. To add an edgy touch, we incorporated a chrome detail separating the dark and light cabinetry, with the darker tones placed on the upper cabinets for a bold, modern contrast.

Porcelain countertops and backsplash complete the sleek design. Not only do they enhance the aesthetic, but they are also highly practical. Key benefits of porcelain include:

  • Highly dense, durable, and non-porous

  • Exceptional scratch and stain resistance

  • High-temperature tolerance

  • Low water absorption rate

  • Highly hygienic

In addition to the porcelain counters, we had a custom porcelain dining table top designed as well.

Finally, we outfitted the cabinets with the latest Blum hardware and organizational systems. By taking the cabinetry to the ceiling, we incorporated a recessed Space Step in the taller toe-kick area. This clever feature provides both a step up for reaching higher spaces and additional pull-out drawer storage below.

In addition to the kitchen, we added on the powder room. This refresh project had us replacing dark tile with gorgeous wallpaper as well as updated plumbing, lighting, and a mirror.

I was thrilled to present this transformed kitchen and powder room to our clients.

NOTE: a before picture is at the end ;)
