Vegas 2023 | It’s going to be a whirlwind
I’m excited to be heading back to Las Vegas at the end of the month for a jam-packed week!
Las Vegas Market is where we get to see the latest products and obtain insights from industry leaders. I have a specific furniture shopping list for many of our projects that I’ll be sourcing and looking at while I’m there.
The Kitchen and Bath Show showcases everything new and innovating in the kitchen and bath industry. There is a North and West building with hundreds of suppliers and companies sharing their products.
National Association of Home Builders International Builders’ Show® showcases everything new and innovating in the building industry. There are 4 very large halls to tour through!
Why do I go?
There are so many reasons why I love going to these shows. First of all, this year happens to be a year that all three shows are in the same week! For one who has to travel to attend, I actually like that I can attend all three on the same trip. One of my other reasons, that has nothing to do with kitchens or baths, is to see all of my friends that live all over North America. While we connect via social media, emails, texting, etc., nothing beats seeing them in person! I know there will be many times that I will be snorting and laughing.

As I mentioned above, I have a grocery list a mile long for clients and their furniture needs. I have made some specific appointments already so that my time is used wisely.

As with the Las Vegas Market, I also have a list a mile long for the various projects we are working on and have in the works. This gives me a great opportunity to see products, compare brands, and continue to form relationships with the brands who I love using. There is nothing that beats feeling and touching a product to get a real sense of what it is like.
Voices from the industry
This year, I have the opportunity once again to share some of my knowledge. The session is called: Behind the Curtain with Claire Jefford: Pricing Projects: Disclosing Design Fees & Deliverables. Along with my friend, Jennifer Stoner, we will be sharing how we work, what our design proposals look like, along with our fee structure. It truly is a blessing that I am asked to share some of my knowledge with others.
In addition to being one of the guest speakers, there are so many wonderful opportunities to learn. If you have been reading my blogs or know me, you will know that I love learning! I find it a challenge to book time to see all of the great talks along with having time to see all the exhibitors at the halls. It truly is a jam packed week!
